I pondered about choosing exactly the same one a few days ago but then decided a black background might be better for pictures. :)
God, I love your long stories with all the inner dialogue and the accurate characterisation! And the atmosphere of constant and profound melancholy that lingers on in all the fics you write. (You can´t know that but I already commented a few of them, especially the Logan/Victor ones. But that was before I joined LJ, so I posted the comments anonymously. Back then I developed a serious crash on "To Remember", I sent you two or three comments about it, you poor thing! ;D)
It starts nearly funny when everybody Logan has to fight mentions how his son was in bed. Almost like a running gag: "By the way, have you ever been told..." And then it turns into tragedy when we learn about Daken´s incapability to develop a "normal" feeling for another person.
I´m not quite familiar neither with the comics nor with Daken himself, but for me it sounds as if he tries to copy Logan in a certain way. And maybe he let all these people being ruthless and cruel with him to tell his father: It could be you. I let them do to me what they can´t do to you. Which means: Not abusing or torturing you for revenge, but treating you as if you were not really there. As if you were nothing more then a meaningless fuck, just because you are available at the right time.
And Logan, a superhero who is able to shrug off everything without ever getting hurt seriously - and now he can´t help but feel like a normal human being, like one of the domesticated daddies on TV. It´s so sad and you wrote it fucking well.
